Calculators, receipts and guides that go with this estimate.
Pool service is mostly recurring work, so the estimate is really a service agreement in disguise. Homeowners want to know what happens at each visit, what's included in the monthly price and what will cost extra. List the routine tasks (skimming, brushing, vacuuming, emptying baskets, testing and balancing water) and say whether chemicals are included up to normal use or billed by usage. Pool size, the type of pool (chlorine or saltwater), and whether there's a spa or a lot of tree cover all change the time per visit. One-time jobs like green-to-clean, openings and closings deserve their own lines. Equipment repairs are where trust is earned or lost, so promise to quote before replacing a pump or heater.
Are chemicals included in weekly pool service?
It varies. Some companies include chemicals for normal use in the monthly price; others bill chemicals separately. Your estimate should say which, and what counts as above-normal use.
Why does a green pool cost extra?
Recovering a green pool can take several visits, shock treatments, extra filter cleanings and a lot of chemicals. It's a separate job from routine maintenance.
How often should a pool be serviced?
Weekly service is the most common for residential pools during the swimming season. Busy, hot or heavily shaded pools may need more frequent attention.
