Calculators, receipts and guides that go with this estimate.
Tile jobs vary more than almost any other finish because the price depends on the tile itself, the layout and what's behind it. A simple ceramic floor in a square room is fast; a herringbone backsplash or a fully tiled shower with a niche, bench and waterproofing is careful, slow work. Your estimate should separate floors, walls and showers, name the tile size and material, and list prep work like demolition, backer board and waterproofing on their own lines. That's where customers understand why one quote is higher: a cheaper quote may skip proper waterproofing. Include who supplies the tile, the grout type and how you handle damage found under the old tile, such as rotted subfloor around a toilet or shower.
Why does large-format tile cost more to install?
Large tiles need a very flat surface and careful setting to avoid lippage, and they're heavier to handle. Prep and labor time go up, even if the tile count goes down.
Is waterproofing included in a shower tile estimate?
It should be listed. Waterproofing behind and under a shower is essential, and it's one of the main differences between estimates. Ask or state which system is used.
Should I order extra tile?
Yes, typically a waste allowance for cuts and breakage, plus a few spares for future repairs. The amount depends on the layout and tile size.
Yes. Make and download as many as you want, no signup. Free PDFs carry a small Presupuestado mark; Pro removes it and adds your logo.
