Calculators, receipts and guides that go with this estimate.
Detailing customers often think of a 'full detail' as one thing, but a detailer knows the price depends on the size of the vehicle, its condition and which services are included. The estimate should name the vehicle and its size class (coupe, sedan, SUV, truck, van) and then separate interior and exterior work. Condition surcharges are the biggest source of friction: dog hair woven into carpet, sand in every seam and spilled drinks can double the interior time. Mentioning that upfront is fairer than adding it at pickup. For paint correction and ceramic coatings, describe the level of correction and what it can and can't fix, because customers expect every scratch to vanish. If you're mobile, say what you need on site.
Why does detailing cost more for an SUV than a car?
More surface area, more seats and more carpet mean more time and product. Pricing by vehicle size is standard and makes your estimate easy to compare.
Will paint correction remove all scratches?
Polishing removes swirls and light scratches in the clear coat. Scratches that go through it into paint or primer won't polish out. State the expected result in the notes.
Why do you charge extra for pet hair?
Pet hair embeds in carpet and fabric and often needs special tools and a lot of extra time. Many detailers charge it by the hour or as a flat surcharge.
