Calculators, receipts and guides that go with this estimate.
Drywall estimates get compared on price, but the real differences are in the finish. A wall that's taped and finished for flat paint in a bright room needs more coats and sanding than one going behind cabinets. Naming the finish level, often described as Level 0 through Level 5, tells the customer exactly what they're paying for. The estimate should also separate hanging from finishing, since they're often done by different people and priced differently, and list ceilings, high walls and corner bead on their own lines. For repair work, small patches are usually priced per patch with a minimum charge. Texture matching is part art, so say you'll match as closely as possible rather than promise invisible repairs.
What does drywall finish level mean?
It's a common scale describing how much taping and mudding is done, from basic (taped only, for hidden areas) to smooth, skim-coated walls. Higher levels take more time and cost more.
Is it cheaper to patch drywall or replace it?
Small holes and cracks are usually patched. Large areas with water damage or many holes may be cheaper and better to replace. The estimate can show both options.
Does a drywall estimate include painting?
Usually not. Many drywall contractors stop at a primed or ready-to-paint surface. If painting is included, it should be a separate line.
Yes. Make and download as many as you want, no signup. Free PDFs carry a small Presupuestado mark; Pro removes it and adds your logo.
