Estimates, receipts and guides that go with this invoice.
A plumbing invoice should explain what was wrong and what you did about it, not just list a total. Start with the service call or diagnostic fee, then labor in hours or a flat repair price, then parts. Give parts real descriptions, like a 50-gallon gas water heater with brand and model, or a quarter-turn shutoff valve, because the customer will need that for warranty claims and their own records. Emergency, after-hours and weekend calls usually carry a higher rate, so put that rate on its own line instead of quietly raising the hourly price. If a permit was pulled, bill the fee separately. A short note on what you found, such as a corroded supply line, explains the cost.
Should I show the emergency rate separately on a plumbing invoice?
Yes. A separate line like "After-hours call, Sunday" explains the higher price. Customers are far more likely to question a large hourly number with no reason given.
Do I need model numbers on a plumbing invoice?
For anything with a warranty, such as water heaters, toilets, faucets or disposals, it's very useful. The customer may need it to register the product or file a claim later.
How do I bill a diagnostic fee that I credit toward the repair?
Add the diagnostic fee as a line, then a negative line or discount for the credit. That way the customer sees both the value of the visit and that it was applied.
Yes. Make and download as many as you want, no signup. Free PDFs carry a small Presupuestado mark; Pro removes it and adds your logo.
