An invoice is the bill you send once the work is done or the product is delivered: it says what you did, how much is owed and when it's due. A clear invoice gets paid faster — it shows the invoice number and date, who you're billing, each line item with quantity and price, tax if it applies, any deposit already received and the balance due, plus your payment terms and how to pay.
What's the difference between an invoice and a receipt?
An invoice asks for payment; a receipt confirms payment was received. Send the invoice first, and when the client pays, tap “Mark as paid” to turn it into a receipt.
Can I add sales tax to the invoice?
Yes. Tap “+ Tax”, name it (Sales tax, VAT, GST) and enter the rate. Rates depend on your state or country, so check the one that applies to you.
