Private tutors often get paid per session or in packages, and a tutoring receipt keeps the account clear for both tutor and family. It shows which sessions have been paid, how many remain in a package and what was covered. Some families need receipts for reimbursement, for example from an employer benefit, a school program or an education savings plan, and those programs typically want the student's name, dates, hours and the tutor's details. List each session or the package on its own line, with the subject and the date, and note the payment method. If you offer packages, write how many sessions are left. A short cancellation policy on the receipt is a polite reminder for families who book regularly.
